Free Skin Cancer Checks

The Skin Surgery Clinic offers FREE SKIN CANCER CHECKS. If you are suspicious of any moles or spots all you need to do is call for an appointment with Dr Sharad P Paul. While in a majority of cases no treatment is required, we are able to offer a specialist opinion and reassurance. If you do need treatment we can advise which treatment is best suited, tell you the exact cost and make a time for the procedure. Tell A Friend

Free Skin Cancer Checks

The SKIN SURGERY CLINIC has offered FREE SKIN CANCER CHECKS since 1996. Although we see huge numbers of skin cancers in New Zealand (and the incidence is increasing), often patients present late with Malignant Melanomas and other skin cancers due to a delay in seeking expert advice because of financial reasons. The public hospital system does not screen for skin cancers.

We believe that cost must not be a factor, and as a community service, have offered FREE SKIN CANCER checks since 1996. As we perform over 4000 free skin cancer checks per year, we have performed over 50,000 free consultations since this clinic was founded in 1996.

We do not receive any external funding for these checks nor do we claim any insurance benefits or government subsidies for these free skin cancer checks.

Patients are simply able to ring up for a FREE appointment and Dermoscopic examination, throughout the year. We are referred patients by other General Practitioners, doctors and by the NZ Cancer Society.

If necessary, we are also able to offer Dermoscopic Imaging i.e taking pictures to monitor skin lesions and moles.

As many clients who have used our free skin cancer service have requested that they be allowed to contribute in some way, we have attached details of our charitable trust below

The Baci Foundation Trust has been set up to help us fund our literacy programmes and books for school libraries. Dr .Sharad Paul, as he is also a published author and literacy advisor,  visits low-decile schools on a weekly basis and speaks to children and also teaches creative writing to improve literacy.
