Prescriptions

For repeat prescriptions please try and give us 24 hours notice. These need to be requested through Wendy, the practice nurse. There is a $10.00 charge for prescription. Wendy will confirm whether the Doctor needs to see you. If not you can collect the script from reception. We can fax it to your local pharmacy at your request. We are happy to do this but you need to provide the name, address and fax number of your pharmacy. (This keeps our costs down).

Telephone Calls

Wendy or Allanah should be able to deal with most of your calls. If you would like to speak to your doctor, and they are not available they will call you back as soon as possible.

Laboratory Test Results

If you have had tests we will notify you of abnormal results that require action. In general we do not routinely call and advise you of normal results. If however you would like to know of your results please call Wendy and ask her for the results of your tests. Please allow 3 days for routine blood tests to be processed. We encourage all patients to phone for their results.

Recalls for Health Tests

We maintain a comprehensive computerised recall system. This lets us know when you are due for a particular test. Most commonly this includes cervical smears, mammograms, vaccinations, prostate checks and blood tests. We notify you by mail when a test is due. Please remember to keep us updated with your correct phone number and address. If the check is no longer required, or if you do not wish to have it, we would appreciate it if you would let us know so we can update your records. Not all recalls are routinely kept on the system. Please feel free to phone Wendy, the practice nurse, to check on this or discuss your particular needs with the Doctor at your next visit.
